If it is a company with a focus on the outdoors (e.g., Patagonia or REI), they will appreciate outdoor experience. The one thing every company seeks are leaders. As you participate in any extracurricular activities, seek leadership positions- president of a club, or the like. Such positions tell us that you have the responsibility and ability to work with a team of people.
